We live in an exquisite bedlam; an insanity. Maybe all the more grotesque by the fact that we don’t recognize it as insanity.
— "No Time Like the Past" Paul Driscol, The Twilight Zone

Have you ever plumbed the philosophical depths of rubber duck cognition? Do you wonder what 10,000 laser-gator wielding antelopes would sound like as their siege buggies assaulted the sands of Mars? Have you questioned the efficacy of ghost politics in an age where mediums can’t be booked due to draconian seance regulations? Do you ever ponder if you’d be able to spot Mt. Fuji in a police lineup, or shout out-loud to the universe, "how do I human?”

Yeah, me too.

Welcome to my brain and my blog where I attempt to arrange words into cognitively pleasing patterns. Come, take your shoes off! Let’s wax about the insanity that is life. Most of these writings are strange, some are deliciously dark, others are sad, but all are honest. This blog is updated weekly, so if you don’t see something that tickles your fancy go make a hand-pressed panini, or breakfast cereal a la king (don’t do that), and come back later. I promise: It’s gonna get weird.

The New Weirdness

April 15th, 2019

Today is a sad day. This day would have marked a good friend of mine’s 40th birthday, but unfortunately he left this plane last week. He will be missed. Given this event (and others to be shared later), I haven’t written fresh Dead Letter. I felt called to write about Charlie, my friend that recently passed, and the piece isn’t quite ready. Instead I have some poetry for this week. It’s heartfelt in it’s own right. Thanks for your patience while I get into the groove.

Enjoy,

-Jordan

TO JEN

About the Author (Weirdo)

Jordan is an inhabitant of earth, frequent college dropout, and connoisseur of all things strange. When he’s not wandering the wastes, he’d like to be conversing with you and the rest of the weirdos out there who are just trying to get by.

When Jordan has broken free of the keyboard, he spends his time in the bay area poking in nooks and crannies for brain fodder, blasting metal at speeds exceeding 65 MPH, and tasting all that life has to offer (see exhibit “A”: Popsicle).

Jordan, is not a wookie.

Um…

I thought writing in the third person would make this exercise a little easier, but alas I still have to talk about myself. Let’s see. I have some body parts that seem to be working in concert. To what end I don’t know, but in the meantime I’m going to write. That’s what I’m about. Now go read some other stuff. Go on now!
